Algerian foreign minister Abdul Aziz Bil-Khadim will meet Greek foreign minister George Papandreou in Athens on Thursday, according to Iran’s news agency (IRNA).
Greek foreign ministry spokesman Panos Beglitis told reporters Monday that the two ministers will discuss bilateral ties, the visit of the Greek president to Algeria this year, the issue of the construction of a mosque in Athens and a protocol on political dialogue between the two countries.
Ties between Algeria and the European Union, Greek-Turkish relations, the Cyprus problem and international developments will also be covered during Greek-Algerian talks, said IRNA’s correspondent in Athens.
Meanwhile, Papandreou will embark on a 3-nation Arab tour on February 11 that will take him to Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
Later, the Greek foreign minister is expected to visit Egypt, Israel and the territories under Palestinian control, according to the agency – Albawaba.com
