Al Alamiah Technology Group (ATG), the giant integrated solutions provider in Kuwait, was recently awarded the Best Solutions Sales award for 2005 at the TANDBERG Partners Forum in Oslo, Norway, in recognition of its efforts as strategic partner for winning largest market segment in the filed of visual communications and video conferencing in the Middle East.

This award is a recognition of Al Alamiah Technology Group’s (ATG) cumulative efforts in implementing numerous large projects both inside and outside Kuwait, for achieving the highest sales growth, and for succeeding in introducing the concept of videoconferencing technologies to serve the various sectors from oil & gas, distance e-learning, distance medicine, to the government sector, embassies, shipping & retail companies, and many other economic and service sectors which would benefit from videoconferencing technologies to link-up with their various geographically distant branches and offices.

Abdulaziz Al Gharabally, CEO, Al Alamiah Technology Group, received the award on behalf of ATG at an award’s ceremony held in Oslo, Norway, at which TANDBERG recognized its distinguished partners worldwide for their exceptional achievements for 2005.

“The concept of visual communications and video conferencing is no longer new to our region. It has become very clear that major sectors in this region are interested in including this technology in their businesses,” commented Al Gharabally upon receiving the award. He added, “We have succeeded in opening up new markets, and our projects extend to many countries throughout the Arab world in general, and the Gulf states in particular. This recognition by TANDBERG is a result of our extensive efforts in deploying our technicians and engineers to support our ambitious sales and marketing plan.”

“The amazing results achieved by Al Alamiah Technology Group, and the vast welcoming horizons they have opened up for us in the region confirm our expectations that this region is ripe for our products. We made the right decision when we chose Al Alamiah to be our dependable strategic alley and partner as they truly understand the unique demands of the regional market. This is a sound judgment which has every intention to continue to develop,” commented Lars Rønning, Area Manager Middle East & Africa, TANDBERG.
Videoconferencing networks reduce travel expenses incurred by management, executives and staff, decreases effort and saves time, all of which result in higher performance levels, greater dynamism and vigor – in addition to the obvious reduction in telephone charges for international calls because the system is based on Voice over IP (VoIP) technology.

Notably, the collaboration between TANDBERG and Al Alamiah Technology Group (ATG) has extended beyond Kuwait to reach Iraq at the end of last year, thus making it possible for large organizations in Iraq to benefit from videoconferencing technologies by facilitating communication between branches inside and outside Iraq. This, of course, includes government institutions, oil companies and other large organizations whose businesses are distributed throughout the various regions of Iraq.
