ALBAWABA - Afghanistan said that at least 400 people were killed in an airstrike on a drug rehabilitation hospital in the Afghan capital late Monday. Kabul blamed Pakistan for carrying out the strike.
The government's spokesman said on X that the rehab center in Kabul was struck on Monday evening, leading to the killing and injuring of hundreds of people.
In response, Pakistan denied the attack on the health facility, saying it "precisely targeted military installations and terrorist support infrastructure" in Kabul and the eastern province of Nangahar.
On the other hand, the Afghan health ministry's spokesman, Sharafat Zaman Amarkhail, spoke to the BBC, saying there were no military facilities near the rehab center.
According to the BBC, around 2,000 people were being treated in the rehab center in Afghanistan.
Residents in the area heard loud blasts across Kabul at around 20:50 local time.
A video showing a massive fire erupting in the facility was captured on social media.
