The third planeload of UAE relief supplies arrived on Monday at Pakistan's Quetta airport, including blankets and winter clothes for Afghan refugees, who are facing a harsh early winter.
The plane dispatched by UAE’s Red Crescent Society (RCS) carried 40 tons of relief supplies to the Afghan refugees in Quetta.
Mohammad Habroush Al Rumaithy, board member of the RCS, was quoted by the Emirates’ official news agency (WAM) as saying that the relief supplies would be distributed to refugees in a camp to be established in the Shimin area.
The remaining supplies will be distributed to Afghans inside their country.
Rumaithy said that the fourth plane of the UAE's airlift of supplies to the Afghan refugees would arrive Tuesday in Quetta.
Earlier, the UAE dispatched four planeloads to a camp of Afghan refugees at the Iranian border, and assisted others clustered at the Pakistani border.
