The partnership between Acer, one of the global leaders in the Information Technology sector, and the Ferrari Team dates back to February 2003 when an agreement was signed under which Acer became an Official Supplier to the Maranello team.

The story of Formula 1 is closely tied to the history of Ferrari. Indeed, the ‘Testa Rossa’ is the only single-seater to have taken part in every Formula 1 world championship held to date: a lengthy and highly-prestigious career studded with the successes and achievements that gone towards creating its legendary status.

Acer, founded in 1976, was established in Taiwan as a manufacturer of high-quality and technologically advanced IT products. Throughout the years, a number of factors including the acquisition of the notebook division of Texas Instruments, the decision to separate production activities in order to fully focus resources on sales and marketing, and the constant commitment to the research and development of solutions that make technology immediate and simple to use, have allowed Acer to leave its mark on the history of Information Technology.

Furthermore, Acer has also made important contributions in the field of pioneering research, study and innovation, while remaining dedicated to its long-term goal of breaking down the barriers between people and technology.

The Maranello Team and Acer have different objectives, yet share a similar passion for new challenges aimed at strengthening their respective market leaderships.

Two companies with such highly dynamic and flexible staff, operating in different fields yet characterised by a deep sense of competitiveness and high expectation, were destined to create a deep-rooted affinity; an affinity which, since 2003, has permitted Acer to develop and sell Ferrari Notebooks with AMD processors.

In 2005, the Ferrari line of laptops – with its unique red colour and fitted with the latest and most advanced mobile technologies, guaranteeing top performance, program reliability and speed – was further enhanced by the introduction of a new attractive, black notebook made of carbon fibre, a material widely used both in Formula 1 and in the aerospace industry.

The Ferrari notebook, developed and perfected over the course of this successful relationship, has enjoyed such success that a new line of Ferrari Monitors, designed and created by Acer, has recently been announced.

The range of 17”, 19” and 20” Ferrari LCD displays stands out for its elegant and stylish design, for the use of exclusive materials and for the application of advanced technologies such as Acer CrystalBrite, which guarantees greater luminosity and brighter images, thus supporting sophisticated professional applications, games and digital activities.

Acer and Ferrari share an ability to develop coherent strategies and to fortify their successes worldwide. These two companies have demonstrated their affinity, not only through their close collaboration – sealed with the partnership agreement – but also through their desire to place their logos side by side on high-tech product lines aimed at professionals and demanding IT enthusiasts who are constantly on the lookout for complete, reliable and exclusive solutions.
