ALBAWABA - Speaking on behalf of the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida began by highlighting the successes of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, saying, "As Gaza enters its thirty-second week of the glorious October uprising, its steadfast people and heroic resistance fighters continue to engage in an unequal battle against Zionist aggression, demonstrating legendary defense against the most heinous forms of brutality."
He highlighted Gaza's ability to bounce back from the "barbaric aggression" and the fortitude and resoluteness of its fighters in the face of weeks of constant Israeli occupation bombardment.
He also spoke about the bewilderment and incompetence of the Israeli army and its leadership, citing their choice ten days prior to launch an invasion of Rafah, the Zaytoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, and Jabalia, north of the Strip, under the mistaken impression that they would be easy targets. Instead, they encountered a fierce resistance akin to what they had faced on the first day of the ground invasion.
The latest military assault carried out by the occupation targeted different parts of Gaza, yet it had no effect on the people's tenacity and will. The Israeli forces suffered heavy casualties at the hands of the resistance fighters in Gaza, proving their resilience and tenacity.
"The Israeli army boasts of its crimes as military achievements," he said, criticizing the well-known Israeli occupation strategy. "Systematic terror, brutality, and deliberate destruction are the consistent strategies pursued by the occupation in Gaza in an attempt to break our people's will and deter their defense and resistance, but in vain."

Abu Ubaida emphasized the strength of the resistance and its ability to persist, stating, "Despite our full commitment to cease the aggression against our people, we are prepared for a long war of attrition against the enemy, dragging them into a quagmire where they find nothing but death for their soldiers and the capture of their officers, not because we are a great force but because we are the people of this land and the rightful owners."
Regarding Israeli prisoners, Abu Ubaida said, "We are constantly aware, with absolute clarity, of the names and images of some cases of killing and death of Israeli prisoners due to the aggression of their army and the obstinacy and criminality of their corrupt government and president. We say this to place the families and public of the occupation in front of undeniable facts versus their government's lies and deception."
The military campaign launched by the occupation was met with fierce resistance from Gaza fighters, who used various weapons and tactics to repel the aggression, including anti-tank and anti-personnel weapons, as well as targeted strikes on Israeli occupation sites.
Gaza fighters are determined to continue their resistance against the Israeli occupation despite immense difficulties and ongoing attacks.
