At least 10 people, three of them children, were killed and others were injured Wednesday when a passenger bus fell into a flooded ditch in eastern Bangladesh, the official BSS news agency reported.
All 10 died immediately when the bus plunged into the ditch, which was filled with monsoon rain water, on a highway in the Comilla district, around 20 kilometres (12 miles) from Dhaka, the agency said.
The dead also included three women, while another woman and a child were in a critical condition. Some of the injured were rushed to a local hospital, while others were taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
On Monday, 10 people were killed when a bus was rammed by a truck in the northeast of the country.
Last month at least 12 people were killed and 35 others injured in road crashes.
