A Dancing Rabbi in Saudi Arabia Stirs Controversy

A video showing a dancing Rabbi, called Jacob Herzog, in Saudi Arabia during a traditional event, has raised so many questions on social media that people split about the reasons behind this visit, BBC reported.

The video which was shared online shows a Rabbi who is seen dancing in the middle of Saudi dancers while wearing his fully religious dress, performing a traditional "Ardah" dance.

Multiple conspiracy theories were made following the release of the video of the dancing Rabbi in Saudi Arabia as some people said that it is a fake video and the Rabbi has edited the original one.

Other people claimed that they have seen and talked to the Rabbi in Saudi Arabia and a Twitter user has shared a photo of herself with Rabbi Jacob Herzog and wrote: "I have met Rabbi Jacob Herzog while I was staying in Saudi Arabia and he gave the best advice ever." She also added that he is a great person who is attempting to spread peace in the area.

On Rabbi Jacob Herzog's Twitter account many photos and videos have appeared to be shared for him while visiting Saudi Arabia where he hailed the kingdom and the people who are living there.

According to the Times of Israel, Rabbi Herzog had visited Saudi Arabia over 5 times. with the aim of establishing centers for the Jewish community that will include synagogues and religious schools.

Pro-Palestinian advocates and activists expressed their worries that there might be a potential normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel any time soon. However, the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir reaffirmed the country's support for the Palestinian people and the cause saying that there will be no peace deal with Israel unless an agreement is agreed upon by the Palestinians.
