France and Algeria to sign friendship treaty

The spokesman of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jean-baptiste Mattei, announced in a press conference which took place on Monday August 22 that the negotiations for the signature of a treaty of friendship between France and Algeria continue, and that the French authorities are confident that they will have the results of the negotiations within the period of the time envisaged. Liberte Algeria reports that a treaty of friendship between the two countries, which was initially planned to be signed by the end of the year 2005.
