Protesters looted and set fire to the Thai Embassy in the Cambodian capital Wednesday after security forces allowed a nationalistic demonstration to get out of hand.
According to AP, the demonstration was held to protest against a Thai TV star who was quoted in the media as saying Cambodia had stolen the famous Angkor Wat temple from Thailand. The Thai actress who is the object of the protests, Suwanan Kongying, has denied making any derogatory remarks about Angkor Wat or Cambodia. (Albawaba.com)
