ALBAWABA - In a welcoming surprise, Scottish actor Brian Cox who is best known for his role as Logan Roy in the award-winning Drama series Succession appeared in a story trailer for Bandai Namco's upcoming Tekken 8 fighting game.

The story trailer features Brian Cox as he explains Tekken's story so far as the franchise has been running since 1994 with seven games under its belt and the eighth coming this month on Jan. 26, 2024. The gaming community never expected an actor like Brian Cox to make an appearance in a video game trailer.

Fun fact: Tekken first made an appearance on Sony's Playstation 1 and inspired several spin-offs, anime adaptations, manga, and live-action movies.

Tekken's main storyline focuses on the King of Iron Fist Tournament hosted by the Mishima Zaibatsu corporation which allows martial artists from various backgrounds to compete against each other with the winner taking control over the company.

At its core, Tekken is a fighting game but the story is as interesting as the gameplay for its characters and iconic storyline.

Although there are many characters to talk about in Tekken such as Paul and Marshal Law, at the heart of the story, a three-generational rivalry happens between Heihachi, Kazuya, and Jin which was conveyed by Brian Cox in words with the aid of previous cinematics from the beloved game.
