ALBAWABA - Twitch streamer and rapper Aspen Kartier was recently arrested on charges of animal cruelty for allegedly beating a puppy during a live stream, sparking widespread anger among her viewers and social media users.
According to TMZ, the streamer, whose real name is Aspen Easterling, was arrested and taken to DeKalb County Jail after authorities received numerous complaints about the viral video. Reports identified the dog as a three-month-old Maltipoo who was found inside Aspen's residence during a search warrant.
Reports revealed that the three-month-old Maltipoo "appeared to be in good health."

Authorities revealed that an investigation into the issue is ongoing. While Aspen Kartier denied beating the dog, DeKalb County Animal Control still took the puppy into its custody. In response to the incident, Twitch banned Aspen until late March 2026.
Social media users who viewed the video described it as cruel and upsetting. The viral clip captured Aspen allegedly handling her puppy roughly.
Nonprofit organization PETA took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "After a disturbing video circulated online apparently showing Twitch streamer, “Aspen Kartier,” abusing her dog, PETA worked with Brookhaven Police to secure an arrest on cruelty-to-animals charges and the dog’s rescue!"
PETA added, "Thank you to everyone who spoke out about this case! Never be silent if you see abuse."
