ALBAWABA - While survival game enthusiasts anticipate the release of Stalker 2: Heart Of Chernobyl amid countless delays on Nov. 20, 2024, there's a possibility that Russian gamers might be disappointed since their country could be banning the game over "Justifying Terrorism" deeming it unplayable in Russia.
The sequel of the most anticipated horror survival game is gearing up to be quite a looker thanks to graphical upgrades from its previous predecessor, with the addition of a continuation to Stalker's storyline, new gameplay elements, an increase in map size and more than 100 hours of content, as reported by Screen Rant.

People who already have access to the game said that they can't wait to recommend it to fellow gamers who are fans of the genre. On the other hand, Stalker 2 like many similar titles in its genre won't be reinventing the wheels, so it might be difficult to recommend it to gamers who aren't into survival games.
A Russian governmental official said that the survival game might get banned in Russia for "Justifying Terrorism" and denied that the reason behind the ban is because of the developers' support of Ukraine amid the country's ongoing conflict with Russia.

The official adds that the game takes chances of enticing "ethnic hatred" and "extremism" deeming it illegal material, as reported by VGC.
He said, "I believe that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has every chance of being officially banned in Russia".
It's important to note that the studio behind the game in questiion, GSC Game World is based in Ukraine which explains the delays the game has suffered across its production pattern due to the ongoing conflict with Russia.
