ALBAWABA - Each Ramadan season, posters of several series take the spotlight for being controversial to people. This year, many posters drew the attention of the audience in the Middle East.

A poster for an Egyptian series called "Awlad al-Raee" caused massive controversy online with people claiming that it looks exactly like a poster of the Turkish series "Esref Rüya," starring Çağatay Ulusoy and Demet Özdemir.

However, after the fuss, the production company behind the series "Awlad El Raee" quickly released a new poster after a wave of criticism hit the first version due to its similarity to the poster for the Turkish series.

The new poster was intended to preserve the image of this major production, which stars Maged El Masry, Khaled El Sawy, and Ahmed Eid. The series revolves around bloody conflicts within a wealthy family that faces a mass assassination attempt, which uncovers secrets from the past. It is directed by Mahmoud Kamel and written by Raymond Makar.

One of the posters caused controversy on social media after many accused the producers of taking it from the Mona Lisa painting, created by Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci.

The poster for the series "Hekayet Narjes" [The Story of Narjes] received widespread critical acclaim, with critic Khaled Ashour describing it as an artistic masterpiece that emulates the genius of the "Mona Lisa".

The designers succeeded in focusing on the psychological struggle of the heroine Reham Abdel Ghafour, who appears with sad features that suggest an inability to conceive, while the shadow embodies the lost dream of motherhood. The series also stars Hamza El-Aily and Samah Anwar, and is scheduled to be shown on the United platforms.
