MrBeast is looking for "100 men vs gorilla" participants, Musk volunteers

ALBAWABA - Renowned American YouTuber MrBeast jokingly announced on social media that he needs participants for a "100 men vs gorilla" video. Participants came flooding into the comment section, including tech billionaire Elon Musk, enthusiastic about joining the challenge.

The viral trend started on April 24 when a user named 'DreamChasinMike' took to Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) and asked fellow users, "What would happen if 100 people fought a gorilla?"

The post, which garnered more than 200 million views, caused a swarm of memes and responses across the platform.

In response to MrBeast's joke, fellow YouTuber IShowSpeed wrote, "No joke when i get angry my friends hold me back at school bc im kinda strong and sometimes if I'm really angry my eyes turn red no joke once my eyes turned red and we had to go in lock so." 

Tesla's CEO also responded to the post and wrote, "Sure, what's the worst that could happen?" 

A social media user took a jab at Musk and wrote, "Considering Elon is a guy who promises and rarely delivers.. I wouldn’t hold my breath."

MrBeast's post garnered at least 45 million views, half a million likes, and thousands of comments from users jokingly volunteering to join the challenge. 

According to Newsweek, MrBeast's post caught PETA's attention, an animal rights organization that called out the YouTuber via e-mail and responded on X after writing, "100 men vs. a gorilla? Maybe try 100 reasons to leave animals out of your content instead..."
