ALBAWABA - French football player Kylian Mbappé made his first comment since the investigation into a rape case in Sweden.

The Former Paris Saint-Germain star is in hot water after his trip to Sweden last week, where he visited a nightclub as he is being under probe for a rape case, Swedish media outlet Expressen said on Monday night.

The website revealed that Kylian Mbappé is being accused of rape and is being investigated by the police in the country.

When did the alleged rape happen?

On the night France secured a UEFA Nations League win over Israel, the French player, 25, went to a nightclub in Stockholm to celebrate the victory (4-1 for France), but he is now accused of rape and sexual molestation.

In detail, Mbappé had dinner at Chez Jolie restaurant in Stockholm on Oct. 10, then he headed to a nearby nightclub called "V," the Swedish media outlet reported.

The police report noted that the alleged sexual assault happened on Thursday inside the nightclub, but the complaint was made on Saturday, two days after the incident.

"This is a matter which is now being headed by a prosecutor," police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl in Sweden revealed.

Kylian Mbappé's first comment on the case:

The Real Madrid-star's representatives denied the allegations in a statement to AFP.

They also added they are unaware of the allegations and accusations against Mbappé and strongly deny them stressing they are fake and wrong.

Both Mbappé and the complainant will be questioned before the persecutor in Sweden.
