ALBAWABA - American pop singer Kesha is under fire across social media after revealing the cover art for her upcoming album "DELUSIONAL" due to the fact that it uses AI art, deeming it "soulless".
The album which releases next Friday, showcases a plethora of bags messily thrown on a street crossway with the word "DELUSIONAL" sprayed on them using black. The bags' colors all branch out from the color brown with different gradients scattered around.
AI is only getting better at what it does and art is no exception, leaving artists scared of losing their careers. As smart and fast as it is, in our opinion, nothing can change that specific human touch that makes art so special and personal to people across the world, from music and movies to illustration and animation.
Kesha under fire for using AI art for new album cover 'DELUSIONAL'
One user replied to Kesha's promotional post on Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) and said, "Kesha speaking on behalf of like all of your fans PLEASE don’t use AI this is disrespectful to designers and there are a lot of errors in this, it just looks really messy."
Others urged the pop artist to hire an actual artist to do the job rather than use AI which learns through taking from artists without their consent or permission.
Some also pointed out errors in the cover where the AI-generated image misspelled "DELUSIONAL" multiple times by forgetting letters like the "I".
Many artists claim that AI harms them more than it benefits them due to the fact that many developers don't ask the artists' consent to take their work for machine learning deeming it "unethical" and "inhumane".
By the time of writing this article, Kesha still hasn't responded to the criticism from fans and artists alike.
