ALBAWABA - The second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End received a new final trailer ahead of its premiere this Friday.
The trailer, which featured stunning animation production and visuals by Studio Madhouse, also revealed the second season's opening song. The song featured in the trailer is "lulu." by the popular Japanese rock band Mrs. GREEN APPLE.
Mrs. GREEN APPLE is best known for "Inferno," the opening song for the beloved first season of the shonen anime, Fire Force. Season 2 of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End will pick up where the first season left off and will cover events from the manga, which is written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe.
Frieren Season 2 gets new trailer and opening song reveal
While the first season of Frieren received a 28-episode run across two cours, Season 2 is getting a reduction airing for only 10 episodes. Similar to the previous season, the sequel will be animated by Studio Madhouse and produced by Toho Animation.
However, Reiko Nagasawa is no longer handling the character designs. Instead, three artists will replace her, including Akiko Takase, best known for her character designs in Kyoto Animation's Violet Evergarden.
According to Ani Trendz, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 will premiere on platforms such as Crunchyroll, Chinese platform Bilibili, iQIYI, and Muse Asia's YouTube Channel.
