ALBAWABA - Several celebrities, such as Hannah Einbinder and Javier Bardem, recently voiced their pro-Palestine stance at the 2025 Emmys as they called for a "Free Palestine" and urged authorities for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
After copping the win for her role in HBO Max's "Hacks," Hannah Einbinder concluded her statement by calling for a "Free Palestine," while wearing a Gaza ceasefire pin and insulting the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Emmys 2025: A list of celebrities who supported Palestine at the awards
According to the New York Times, celebrities including Ruth Negga, Chris Perfetti, and Aimee Lou Wood also showcased their pro-Palestine stance by wearing the same red Gaza ceasefire pin.
For his part, Spanish actor Javier Bardem, who voiced his pro-Palestine stance on multiple platforms, attended the 2025 Emmys while wearing a Palestinian Kuffiyeh. He stated during an interview with Variety, "Here I am today denouncing the genocide in Gaza... Free Palestine!"
He added that he "will not work" with anyone who "supports the genocide" in Gaza and that "It's as simple as that. We should not be able to do that, in this industry or any industry."
Additionally, American comedian and actress Megan Stalter was captured on the red carpet holding a black purse featuring a massive paper with "ceasefire!" written on it. She also proudly wore the red pin on her jeans.
Many celebrities have voiced their solidarity with Gaza and Palestine due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip since Oct. 7, 2023.
One American celebrity that comes to mind is actor Mark Ruffalo, best known for his role as the Hulk in Marvel's The Avengers. His Instagram account is flooded with posts calling for a ceasefire and the starvation of the Palestinian people.
He recently called the White House to urge Trump and his administration to take immediate action against Israel's aggression.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has resulted in the killing of at least 64,000 Palestinians and has left more than 164,000 others injured, since Oct. 7, 2023, as reported by Gaza's health ministry.
According to The Anadolu, 420 Palestinians, including 145 children, have died from starvation and malnutrition due to rising famine cases in the Strip.
