Prominent Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen is preparing to enter filming studios to film the indoor scenes of her upcoming television drama “Ma’ali Al Wazeerah” (Her Excellency the Minister), which is scheduled to be aired during the Ramadan season of 2012.
According to the London based Elaph, the drama is directed by Rabab Hussein and filming of the scenes is to last for up to four weeks. Rabab has already completed most of the outdoor scenes in different neighborhoods of Cairo.
The drama stars Elham, prominent actors Mustafa Fahmi, Yousif Shabaan and Ameerah Al Aydi. It is written by scenarist Muhsin Al Jalad and produced by the production company ‘King Tut’.
Producer Hisham Shabaan said that the drama had been postponed for some time due to the unstable conditions in Cairo since the January 25 Revolution that overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak. Hisham stated that the cast and crew of the drama are very anxious to complete the drama in time to be aired during the next Ramadan season. Hisham added that the events of the revolution will not be incorporated into the drama since it was written over a year ago and there no changes will be made to the script.
