ALBAWABA - Only hours after its launch, many angry gamers took to social media platforms including Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter), to complain about the alleged abundance of cheaters spawning in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 ranked matches.

They also further complained about how console players can't turn off crossplay like other competitive and multiplayer games, leaving them at a worse disadvantage as they can't avoid the cheaters. "Playing with a controller against PC players is bad enough...Now we have cheaters as well."

The cheaters also caught the attention of Call of Duty content creators who said that Black Ops 6's ranked mode is swarming with cheaters.

Professional Call of Duty player Tyler FeLo took to his official X account and wrote, "Damn Ranked infested with cheaters day one you simply hate to see it."

It seems that the anti-cheat system many game developers are running with their games is not sufficient enough to catch all cheaters, leaving players who are more competitive gaming than casual frustrated.

Many Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 took to posts in a debate of the issue at hand while also tagging accounts like publisher Activision, developer Treyarch, and the official Black Ops 6 account, to catch their attention for a quick fix.

As mentioned above, many console players complained about the fact that they can't turn off crossplay, which allows console and PC players to play together.

Black Ops 6 had a relatively successful launch and we had a ton of fun playing its multiplayer modes including PVP and Zombies, but seeing microtransactions like a Battle Pass on a $70 game leaves a sour taste in our mouths. A battle pass in a free game is understandable but Call of Duty isn't a free game like The Finals, Valorant, and Counter-Strike 2.
