A farmer has been convicted of drowning his wife in liquid manure in Germany.
The 55-year-old was sentenced to 13-and-a-half years in prison after his wife died in a slurry pit on their farm in Germany in 2018.
The court dismissed his claim she fell into the pit by accident.
Judges in the Bavarian city said the woman, 51, had been victim of a violent crime, but the defendant's lawyer said they would appeal.
