Kim Jong-un has unveiled a new clothing line for his subjects that is perfect for people 'engaged in sailing, exploration and mountain climbing' - as some of the clothes are edible.
The clothing was revealed alongside other fashion lines, including women's items, in a series of glossy catalougues put together by Kim's Clothing Research Centre, under the Ministry of Foodstuffs and Daily Necessities.
The edible items include jackets while the women's clothes include Chanel rip-offs and cut-price Gucci handbags.
A listing about the edible line reads: 'Clothing made of artificial flannelette fabrics composed of trace elements such as protein, amino acids, fruit juice, magnesium, iron and calcium can be eaten to avoid starvation.'
The catalogue also claims that 'clothing with intelligent sleeves' can 'monitor or sense the health condition of the human body'.
It also shows models posing with smartphones and even man bags.
Alek Sigley, who runs North Korea tour firm Tongil Tours, told the Mirror: 'The man bag is trending among men in Pyongyang.'
Talking about the women's catalogue, he says: 'Some of the fashion looks retro. Chinese friends say it looks like 90s women's fashion in China.
'But by local standards, these are modern and cutting-edge.'
