Wearing combat boots, fatigues and little else, four Israeli female soldiers posted a racy photo on Facebook recently.
It wasn’t long before the women’s superiors saw the image after local Israeli news outlets reported the story. According to the Israeli military, the soldiers posted the pictures on Sunday.
But wait, there’s more.
In a another, separate incident, five women inside their barracks had a picture taken of them in their underwear.
The military responded by issuing a statement saying the women were disciplined by their commanding officers “as they saw fit,” according to the press release.
According to the Israeli news site Walla, the women were new recruits stationed near the southern portion of Israel. The identities of the female soldiers were not released.
Excluding the ultra Orthodox, almost all Jews are required to serve in the military at the age of 18.
