The Internal Security Forces Saturday announced the arrest of two men in Beirut for selling counterfeit golden bracelet following an international investigation, an ISF statement said.

The suspects, identified as Syrians M.A. and Z.N., born in 1983 and 1990 respectively, were arrested on April 25 in Beirut’s Saloumi area in Sin al-Fil, ISF said.

Some 200 fake gold bracelets were seized during their arrest.

ISF said it had investigated the crimes in coordination with “people in Lebanon and Turkey,” and had found that the suspects managed to sell off 20 of the fake bracelets, while they had also made “30 failed attempts.”

The arrested suspects are reportedly members of a larger gang.
