Abu Dhabi Police: 'Don't Throw Your Litter on Roads or You'll be Heavily Fined'

The police also conveyed that the fine for throwing trash on the streets is Dh1,000 ($272) along with 6 black points.

As many as 85 people were caught throwing trash outside their vehicles in the last three months, revealed the Abu Dhabi Police.

According to a statement issued on the Abu Dhabi Police Instagram account, the police have called upon all motorists to keep the environment clean and dispose the trash in designated places and also make sure that the children in the vehicles do the same.

The police also conveyed that the fine for throwing trash on the streets is Dh1,000 along with 6 black points.

Brigadier Ahmed Al Shehhi, deputy director of Traffic and Patrols Department in the Central Operations Sector said the Abu Dhabi Police will continue their efforts to raise awareness among motorists and road users by urging them to avoid behaviours that harm the environment.
